Saturday’s downpours didn’t stop local beer enthusiasts from taking over the streets of Downtown Las Vegas for the Great Vegas Festival of Beer, as thousands gathered at the fifth-annual fest to sip and sample over 400 beers under an almost perpetual shower of rain.
Event producer Motley Brews reports a sold out crowd and record-breaking attendance at the boozy bash. Many brought umbrellas, others wore ponchos (or scored them for free at the festival entrance) and some decided to take refuge under tents set up throughout the grounds—in between runs for beer samples, of course.
