Privé nightclub is cleared to re-enter the Vegas nightlife scene - for 30 days anyway.
On Tuesday, August 18, the County Commission, acting in its capacity as the county Liquor and Gaming Board, gave its blessing to a temporary license for Privé, but not to the 90-day temporary license proposed by department of business director Jacqueline Holloway. Commissioners instead approved a 30-day temporary license. The commission did so with the provision that further discussion of the Privé issue be added to the Commission’s next meeting agenda, on September 1.
Holloway today officially issued Privé the temporary license, which is set to expire on September 20.
In anticipation of Tuesday’s approval, Privé reportedly started booking talent as early as last Saturday. According to Privé’s Facebook profile, Janet Jackson’s ex, Jermaine Dupree will appear tonight as a guest DJ. Actor Ice T is booked for the return of Monday, August 24’s We Rock Hip-Hop industry party. A “surprise” guest is advertised for Saturday, August 22.
