The Las Vegas Strip officially has everything now, because today is the debut of its first Taco Bell.
Taco Bell opens its 7,000th restaurant and first flagship destination today at the Harmon Corner development across from the Cosmopolitan. The 24-hour eatery is the fourth Taco Bell Cantina location to open, following Chicago, San Francisco and Austin. Among its features are a retail store offering everything from hats and shirts to bikinis and rings, a wall of frozen drink taps where customers can create their own concoction from different flavors and alcohol options, digital menu boards and queues to speed up the process, an open kitchen design, Cantina menu options including shareable appetizers, a DJ booth, communal seating, VIP lounges and custom artwork.
Coinciding with the Vegas opening is Taco Bell’s first logo refresh in more than 25 years, part of the brand’s growth plan—the goal is to become a $15 billion brand by 2022 while adding 2,000 new restaurants globally and 100,000 new jobs in the U.S. Taco Bell opened more than 275 new restaurants and remodeled 600 more in 2015 and is on pace to exceed those numbers in 2016.
