Neon Reverb may not be returning for its fourth installment until March, but planning for the four-day local music festival is already underway. The Weekly was offered a sneak-peek at what to expect from the 2010 spring edition during Thursday night’s meeting at the Freakin’ Frog.

1. The newest venue to offer itself up to Neon Reverb is Area 702 Indoor Skate Park. The additional space has the perk of being all ages, making the festival more accessible to a younger crowd and offering a platform for “more aggressive” music.
2. To help earn money for the festival, a New Year’s Eve fundraiser is being planned. Taking place at the Bunkhouse, the show will include bands from National SouthWestern Recordings – the record label for A Crowd of Small Adventures, Hungry Cloud and Novelty Act – and all the money raised from ticket sales (estimated at $5-$10) will go towards funding the next Neon Reverb.
