Hair Wars: The 80s Strike Back

I’m not sure what possessed me to offer my head up for the chopping block, but I did it. As soon as I saw the flier for Hair Wars 4 at Moon, I proposed myself as a hair model. But who knew how much else went into these things?! Somewhere between the choreography, the costume and the cornrows, I started to panic. But that all changed when Globe Salon’s Staci Linklater said, “You got this, Xania?” and a confident calm washed over me. Well, as it turns out, I didn’t have it, per se. Not the win, anyway. That went to two early ’80s Madonna hair-twins. Channeling Adam Ant and David Bowie to deliver a performance that certainly pushed my personal envelope, I did my darnedest. Experience the hair and the moves for yourself right here.
