Assuming you’re one of those Nevadans who still oppose tax increases, we’d like to offer the following advice: Leave, because it’s obvious you have no interest in the state’s long-term survival. Our legislature just voted to cut teacher salaries 4 percent to balance a budget that is so far out of whack, even hundreds of millions in federal bailout money isn’t expected to make much of a dent. Yet our governor still refuses to talk tax hikes. Once again, we’ve stolen from the future to placate a bunch of present-day spoiled brats.
