You've said that on a musical level, David Crosby will always be an enigma to you. What did you mean?
Crosby is one of the most enigmatic musicians I know. I don't know anyone like him and neither do any of my friends. He's just a musician who thinks completely differently about music and chord structures and tunings and keys and stuff.
What makes a Crosby and Nash record like The Best of Crosby & Nash different from what you'd do with Stills?
The process is easier. The more people you add to the mix, the more delicate the balance is. So I would say the first thing is that it was easier. You know, Crosby and I have had this musical relationship where we kind of finish each other's musical sentences, you know.
There has been more activity as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young over the past five years than at any point since the four of you got together. Why are you four getting along better now?
We're smarter. You know, we've been together for a long time. I mean, 35 years is a long time. We're just smarter about each other now. I know the minefield here. I know my way through this minefield. And everybody else is learning their own way through the minefield.

That's Him In the Back |
Mark McGrath once exposed himself to a Stuff editor's wife during a photo shoot.
"When we first came to LA, it was all about beer and chicks and cars."
McGrath accidentally walked into the women's restroom at a LA nightclub in March 2003 and couldn't escape. The women kept pulling him back inside, grabbing at him and running their fingers through his hair.

"Tension is a great tool ... You've got five members in this band, and we're like brothers; we bicker. As long as there's that middle ground, in the end we're happy."

Danko Jones
We Sweat Blood (3 stars)
Like a grittier, more Canadian version of Jet, Danko Jones owe much of their sound to '70s hard rockers like AC/DC and T. Rex. Their songs aren't exactly deep (sample lyric: "yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah"), but they've got a dumb, party-hearty charm in the vein of Andre W.K., and they're perfectly good for banging your head to.
