INGREDIENTS:
1 1⁄2 oz. Montecristo Spiced Rum
1⁄2 oz. Liquor 43
1 1⁄2 oz. fresh lemon sour
1⁄2 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice
Combine ingredients in a
tin with ice. Shake and strain into
a cinnamon-and-sugar-frosted
cocktail glass. Garnish with a spiral of orange peel.
Everything old is new again. Or at least should be when it’s as tasty as master mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim’s classic Cable Car, a drink he invented in 1996. Eyecandy GM Brooks Stanford makes his variation with Montecristo Spiced Blend rum, which imparts a more intense flavor. Abou-Ganim gave the spin-off his blessing and included it in the new interactive lounge’s cocktail list, the rest of which he crafted himself, including the signature Eyecandy cocktail.
Tip: To achieve the essential cinnamon-sugar rim, encircle the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with a lemon wedge and dip in a bowl of superfine sugar and cinnamon.
