Dorimar “Dori” Bonilla, Bonita Gatita
Hometown: Cayey, Puerto Rico
Age: 29
Profession: CatHouse production manager and “Coquette” dancer
Profile: A sort of Jackie of all trades, Dori wears a number of hats in her position at CatHouse: wardrobe mistress, scheduling manager, music director, sales manager and even lighting director. Oh, and as a dancer—since the age of seven with ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop and salsa—Dori performs choreographed routines six times a night wearing the signature CatHouse lingerie line (for sale, of course). In her career, Dori has also danced with Vegas’ arena football team, at Coyote Ugly, Shadow Bar and currently with the Nathan Burton comedy/magic show.
Why I Do What I Do: “It’s my passion. I’ve tried everything from bartending to being a school principle to retail but dancing is what I do best.”
Personal Tidbit: Also an online correspondent for TheV.tv, the Vegas Entertainment Network, Dori covers everything from shows and clubs to spas and whatever the casinos are up to.
What I’m listening to: “Dirty Laundry,” by Bittersweet
Latest Accomplishment: After 22 years on her heels as well as her toes, Dori has developed and patented her own dance shoe, a combo ballet pointe shoe and high heel she calls the Dori Shoe, which allows dancers to mash up movement styles.
Quote: “Dance like everyone’s watching!”
