Night Bite: It’s sake! It’s karaoke! It’s … Sake-Oke!

Image

Sake-fueled karaoke signals of the return of Sugarcane Lounge at SushiSamba restaurant tonight as the hip Asian/South American fusion joint celebrates the brand’s 10-year anniversary with a traditional Japanese cask-breaking (by our own Robin Leach, of course) and the launch of Sake-oke Wednesdays.

When last we heard from SushiSamba, the Sugarcane Lounge had become a sort of supper club … for about four minutes. But before the seats were cold following a performance by Andrew Dice Clay, that idea was pretty much scrapped. Resurrecting the too-gorgeous-to-be-so-underutilized space is Sake-oke, which will be christened by “Oprah Karaoke Challenge” winner Abraham McDonald, and which boasts over 10,000 songs for you to ruin. But we think getting 20% off all 125 sake bottles will take away the sting, both for you and your friends who must listen to you.
