Cocktail of the Week

Haze 75

Haze Nightclub, Aria, $25,000

Image

These prestige cocktails are hard to wrap one’s head around. I could throw a Bentley in with a beer and call it a $200,006 beer… But with Light Group mixologist Ken Hall’s Haze 75—a take on the French 75 and somewhat similar to XS’ $10K Ono cocktail except in price and choice of jewelry—it’s not just about the bling. The 150 year-old “Grand Ma” is tres cher and tres delish, as is the $40K-$100K numbered, limited-edition dark, Baccarat crystal decantered Louis XIII Black Pearl. Or so I hear; I’ve never tried it. Not sure how the watches taste either but I’m game if some kind soul would like to buy a lady a drink?

Ingredients

1.5 oz. Remy Martin Louis XIII Black Pearl Cognac

.5 oz. Grand Marnier 150 yr.

1 oz. fresh lemon juice

1 oz. Sence rose nectar

Method

Build in a champagne flute, top with Cristal Rosé Champagne. Serve with a Breitling Chronomat Evolution watch for him, a Breitling Cockpit Lady watch for her.
