For the Cadillac of margs, Isla’s Tequila Goddess (long may she reign) selected the Cadillac of tequilas to delight tequila connoisseurs with an affordable indulgence. Though traditionally enjoyed neat and in a snifter, the 1942 (so named for the year founder Don Julio González established his first distillery) generously lends its roasted agave, vanilla flavors, sun-ripened tropical fruit and spiced undertones for a luxurious final product.
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Tequila Don Julio 1942
1.5 oz. Grand Marnier
0.5 oz. Cointreau
2 limes
Method:
Express the juice of two limes into a cocktail shaker. Add Don Julio 1942, Cointreau and ice, cover and shake well. Strain into a margarita glass filled with ice. Add a float of Grand Marnier.
